Fall in love with Paris
Paris is a sightseers paradise and a great place to hang out with friends. There's so much to see - the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur and the gothic Notre Dame Cathedral. Arguably, the world's fashion capital, it's home to the famed Galeries Lafayette (for avid shoppers) and timeless art galleries such as The Louvre or the Musee d'Orsay. The banks of the Seine River are alive with activity, and river cruises are one of the best ways to see the city.

It's that time of year again, the unmistakable sounds of sleigh bells seem novel once more, Lille will be decked with sparkling lights and bright colours. The Ferris wheel is in place on the Grand Place set for one of the busiest markets in France with over 80 market "chalets" open every day selling everything imaginable. Get lost in the cities festive atmosphere and irresistible aromas of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts, or simply sit back with a continental lager or a glass of traditional French mulled wine and, well, relax.
A city for culture vultures - head for the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, the Lille Museum of Modern Art or the Tri Postal contemporary arts centre. And there's also Lille Cathedral and the zoo to see.
Shop 'til you drop at the biggest flea market in Europe on the Braderie de Lille, as well as Europe's largest bookshop the Furet du Nord. Or for a taste of luxury, make sure you see the designer fashion houses in Lille Sud and Roubaix.
