Festival Fun in Germany and Poland

Hurricane & Southside 19-21 June

A rock festival compared to Leeds and Reading, Hurricane takes place on a motorcycle racetrack in Scheeßel, between Bremen and Hamburg. Franz Ferdinand, Keane and Duffy are all due to perform so grab a German beer and enjoy the atmosphere! If you fancy going to the south, Hurricane's sister festival Southside takes place in Neuhausen

Open'er, 2-5 July

If you fancy something further afield head to Babie Doly Airfield on the Baltic coast for the Open'er festival in Poland. A relatively undiscovered festival, Open'er offers you the chance to spend the day in the town of Gdynia , before catching the bands later on. Basement Jaxx, Arctic monkeys and Kings of Leon are amongst the familiar acts performing this year.
